Guest post on Science of Blogging

At the invitation of Peter Janiszewski at Science of Blogging, I’ve guest-posted some thoughts on how researchers and PR professionals can work together: Working with your Public/Media Relations office: A primer for researchers.

This post came about as a result of Peter’s recent blog post about why scientists should blog, which led me to post my own thoughts on the subject. From there, Peter asked me to share some ideas on how researchers can work with media relations offices. I think this is an important conversation to have, and I hope my post helps research faculty better understand the role of the media relations office on their campuses.
